Dear Class 1,
Welcome to our new class web page. On this page, you can find all the information you may wish to know about life in Year 1. We have continuous provision in class; this is where the children are challenged through play and fun activities. We teach a stimulating curriculum with many practical lessons. Our main goal is for our class to enjoy school and have fun while learning.
I am excited to see all my pupils achieve, grow as a person and most importantly show a love of learning.

Phonics Screening
In June, the children will take part in a Phonic Screening test. The phonics screening check is a check of your child’s phonics knowledge. It helps the school confirm whether your child is making the progress expected in the national curriculum.
Children who do not meet the expected standard will repeat this in Year 2.
