Welcome to Red Kites Class page. 

 

On this page you will find information about our class. Here you will find helpful links and updates about our learning, along with half termly topic overviews. 

 

We are excited to be part of your children's learning journeys. 

 

Other information 

 

Tuesday & Friday - P.E will be every Tuesday and Friday. Children are to come to school in their P.E kits on these days. 

 

Wednesday - Reading books will be changed every Wednesday. Please remember to return reading books every week including signed reading records. 

 

Thursday - Reading for pleasure books/Library books will be changed every Thursday.

 

Friday - Spelling tests will take place on Fridays. Children will bring home new spellings each week. 

Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

 

Multiplication tables check is undertaken by all Year 4 pupils in England during June. The check enables schools to identify times tables fluency and provide any additional support.

  • Oxford Owl Great resources from Oxford University Press
  • TTRockstars Super maths practise - you child has a school login.
  • Coolmath4kids Lots and lots of games and brainteasers to get you all thinking and looking for patterns in all things mathematical.
  • National Geographic Kids Children can read about the world of animals and find facts out. A useful website to help develop children’s understanding of nonfiction texts
  • BBC Bitesize Year 3/4 This BBC website is full of lots of activities that support your children’s learning. There are videos, games and reports that engage children of all ages
  • Woodlands Primary An excellent site with lots of fun games to support maths and english learning.
  • Science Bob Lots of fun science ideas and home experiments.
  • Typing skills A bit of fun for your child to practise typing and practise spelling as they go!
