Class 3 went to visit Accrington Stanley Football Club and met some of the players who presented all the children with an Accrington Stanley football shirt. They also received a goodie bag and met a superfan who taught us all an Accrington Stanley football chant!
Our Sunflower Competition
Children were given a sunflower seed kit and planted their seed in school to grow at home over the Summer. Children used lots of scientific knowledge and skills to nurture their plants. Here are some of the children's wonderful efforts!
The life cycle of a butterfly
We nurtured and cared for caterpillars as part of our whole school science initiative this year. The children in each class had their own caterpillars to care for and observe. Children researched The life cycle of a butterfly, learned what a caterpillar and a butterfly need to survive, and made lots of predictions about what might happen next. They used their scientific observational skills to record what happened. We then enjoyed many squeals of enjoyment and laughter as our short-term school pets were released to begin their new life and start the life cycle all over again!
Science Selfie Competition
Our children found lots of ways to share their love of Science in our Science Selfie Competition!
